Книга о челюскинской эпопее написана мотористом-механиком Александром Ервандовичем Погосовым (1908-?).
Очерк дополнен рисунками художника Федора Павловича Решетникова (1906-1988). Он учился во ВХУТЕИНе у Д. Моора и является автором картины «Опять двойка» (1952).
