Одно из трёх первых изданий «Гитанджали» (в том же году книга вышла в переводах под редакцией И. Бунина и А. Слудского). Издано вскоре после получения Рабиндранатом Тагором (1861-1941) Нобелевской премии по литературе за англоязычную версию «Гитанджали».
