В цельнотканевом (коленкор) издательском переплёте. В иллюстрированной издательской суперобложке в две краски. Хорошая сохранность. Утрата небольших фрагментов суперобложки, потёртости и загрязнения суперобложки.

Впервые роман был опубликован в периодическом издании «Красная новь» (№7,8. 1932).
В 1933 г. одновременно вышли отдельными книжным изданиями в издательствах «Геликон» (Париж) и «Советская литература» (Москва).
Алексей Сергеевич Левин (1893-1967), график, дизайнер, воспитанник Петербургской Академии художеств. В 1920-1930-е гг. много работал в промышленной и книжной графике.
