Слободская литературная группа была образована в 1928 году в городе Слободской Кировской области при местной библиотеке. Группа объединяла начинающих поэтов и писателей. Руководил группой Владислав Владимирович Заболотский (1911-1986), впоследствии — журналист, поэт, редактор. В 1929 году вышел из печати первый поэтический сборник этой группы.
