В центре фотографии Александр Фёдорович Котс (1880-1964) — учёный, доктор биологических наук, профессор, музеевед. Рядом с ним его жена (второй ряд, четвёртая слева) Надежда Николаевна Ладыгина-Котс (1889-1963) — зоопсихолог, приматолог и музеевед. Музей был основан А. Котсом в 1907 году и посвящён дарвиновской теории эволюции. Собрание музея основывается на частной коллекции редких чучел животных А. Котса. Автограф датирован 6 августа 1956 года.
